MISDEMEANOR EXPUNGEMENTS
Misdemeanors and other violations including municipal court convictions are eligible for expungement under the following circumstances:
- You were found not guilty
- The charge was dismissed with prejudice or without prejudice more than two (2) years ago
- The charge was no-billed by the grand jury
FELONY EXPUNGEMENTS
Only non-violent felonies are eligible for expungement under the following circumstances:
- You were found not guilty
- The charge was dismissed with prejudice or without prejudice more than five (5) years ago
- The charge was no-billed by the grand jury
- You completed a diversion program if applicable
- You were not convicted of any other crimes or violations within the last five (5) years, other than minor traffic violations
BENEFITS
Persons who have expunged records do not have to disclose their underlying record or charges for purposes of employment, credit or any other type of application with the exception of government, regulatory or licensing agency, bank or financial institution.
Expungement will include the destruction of the individual's arrest records, booking photos, date of birth, social security number, address and any other vital identifiers.
